EBI Community Market is an initiative of Wallace Empowerment, a family owned organization that was created to make a change in the community.
While attending a local Town Hall meeting we heard the concerns of those living in the 32209 zip code needing access to closer grocery stores. We rode around the area and noticed multiple unhealthy food options.
~ That is where our vision started. ~
Upon doing more research, we found that there were multiple Jacksonville communities that were food deserts - areas where people did not have access to healthy choices.
Approximately 177,000 in Jacksonville, FL are considered food insecure, meaning they do not know where their next meal will come from - most living in food desert areas.
We decided that WE would be the change in our community and offer everyone access to healthy food options via EBI Community Market.
We are a market store that will provide the community access to quality food at fair prices.
Our store is committed to supporting and promoting local and regional farmers and butchers bringing in grass-fed meats and organic fruits and vegetables.
We will offer a cafe serving breakfast and lunch.
We will have a community wellness center which will offer cooking demonstrations to introduce the community to new, flavorful dishes. We will also have nutrition, financial literacy classes, and health fairs.
Access to Wi-Fi, ATM machine and so much more...
We believe that making this lifestyle change begins with strengthening our community.
EBI Community Market is committed to:
Be the first to hear about promotions, upcoming sales, and product events.
